The
concept is based on the research of a choreographic
and visual simplicity to achieve the essential.
The performance is conceived as a body installation,
visual and audio, three complementary elements that
make up the general atmosphere of the concept.
The whole choreography unfolds in an extreme slow
motion, within an as simple as possible structure
and body language process, sometimes in contrast
with the surrounding acoustic space.
The white body, posed as an egg on the brown earth,
evolves from this initial and static position to
the vertical standing, common to all human beings.
The various steps of the performance often evoke
an embryonic state, a birth from the earth or even
an underwater space.
So many images and associations which arise in the
spectator's mind, awaken his sensitivity and pure
emotion. The audience is carried away by the internal
rhythm of the white dancer, slowed down, suspended
at the interstices of the gestures and forgetting
the daily routine for a moment.
Evo is a proposal of an exchange between the performer
and the spectators. A search of transfusion so that
the public can physically feel the inner pulse of
the artist, by breaking the gap between them. In
an attempt to reach this dimension, the performance
is based on the purity and neutrality of the gestures,
the movements and the visual, without clinging to
a specific story or meaning but rather the physical
and cellular matter the body is.
The spirit of the dancer is completely connected
to this reality, spreading a tremendous presence
to reach the spectator into his flesh and soul.

immer am 2. Samstag des Monats von 19-21:00.

Cuatro horas de crecimiento
En
la exposición Cuatro horas de crecimiento
Elena García Jiménez desarrolla una
doble aproximación a la idea de “crecimiento”.
Por un lado se refiere al estudio del proceso imperceptible
de transformación de una planta creciendo,
y por otro al recorrido no-lineal por el cual una
idea adquiere su forma final.
Como
punto de partida encontramos la video-escultura
Cuatro horas de crecimiento, que mediante video-animaciones
preoyectadas sobre objeto presenta un modelo de
crecimiento artificial, que traduce a formas geométricas
la forma orgánica de una planta.
Este
crecimiento casi imperceptible es recogido gráficamente
en la obra “Intervalo de crecimiento de 53’7’’,
que introduce la representación estática
del tiempo y el movimiento.
Junto
a estas obras se presentan en una composición
mural los apuntes de aproximación al objeto
de estudio, las lineas de investigación descartadas
y las pruebas fallidas, esbozando así el
desarrollo de la idea.
